It was back to school early for the class of 2014. On August 1st, we all met at the University of Delaware campus in Newark for the first day of school, which was also the first day of our two week chemistry refresher.
I was definitely a little nervous being in a new environment, meeting people that I would share all of my time with over the next two years, rigorously reviewing all of the science I had ever learned. If it weren’t for the patience of Drs. Weber and Petersen and the kindness of my classmates, it may have actually been that dramatic. But by day two, we were all enjoying lunch together and feeling nothing but excitement for this new experience.
Our coursework included mostly chemistry, math, and physics–all really great topics to review before the start of curriculum courses. We also managed to squeeze in some paperwork at HR, student ID photos, respirator screenings, and more (!). The week ended on Friday afternoon, just as it should, with a celebratory drink. Cheers to finishing chemistry review!
